ROCK BAND!!!

*Some pictures are dark, but hey, it is better to play in the dark...with the music turned up REALLY loud!

I would like to mention that Dad was a really good sport...we "rocked" out until after 10 pm and he put up with the loudness!

I started out on vocals...it was pretty intense, but I did really well. Some of the words went too fast, so I just ended up making noise on the right pitches. Austin made a great drummer!

This one is pretty dark, but I am getting ready to play the guitar. That is my forte...I had plenty of practice with guitar hero!


And the pregnant Brittany playing the drums. You know, the drums are painful. The base drum is played with your foot, so your shin muscles ache after such a long song. But those drum sticks are like toothpicks...I have better drumsticks in my bandroom. I told Ben that I might donate some for the next time we play.

And my turn for the drums. My poor legs...but I was a pro! I guess being a band teacher really does pay off!! LOL!

And pregnant Brittany on the guitar. Too bad my son-in-law Nick wasn't here to play with us...he loves these kinds of things!

For those of you who don't know...ROCK BAND has two guitars, a drum set, and a microphone and you play as a band...(*what a concept). The music is all rock...pretty heavy stuff, but tons of fun to really get into and "rock out". We had fun and thanks Ben for bringing over all the equipment for us to play! It was a blast...PS: this is a good Christmas idea :)
