Kaiden sleeping peacefully on our bed.

Happy birthday to Grandma Kathy! It was a good birthday because I got to be with my family: Dave, Brittany and Kaiden, Mark and Nick. I also got to see Austin for a few minutes. Happy Anniversary to Dave and Kathy! It is 32 years. It has been fun, joyful, hard, stressful, trying, happy, etc. A little of everything, I think. Being married requires a lot of hard work. You have to make your marriage the most important thing in the world, after your allegiance to Heavenly Father, of course. Out of those 32 years, the greatest joys have been our 6 children, our 5 (so far!) grandchildren, and our 4 (so far) in-law children. We thank the Lord everyday for each of you and the joy you bring to our lives and the special people that you are.

Brittany and Kaiden spent about a week with us and we had so much fun just talking, laughing, and taking care of Kaiden. He is such a happy baby, loves to smile and laugh and "talk". He can also fill his diaper, eat A LOT and cry. But we are glad he does all those things cause that means all body systems are functioning properly! Thank you, Brittany for all you help while I was recovering from knee surgery. Thank you, Nick, for loaning me your wife and son. I really enjoyed them both.

On Wed., March 11, I had my left knee scoped to repair torn meniscus. I stayed for a few days at Mother's and she and Dave took good care of me. The first 48 hours were the worst. All my kids called to check on me, which I really appreciated. On Friday the 13th, I went to help my 3 students audition for All State. There was a lot of walking and standing involved, but by then I didn't need the walker, and used a cane. It was painful, but I got through it and one of my students actually made All State. Yea!
